It is difficult to be a Jew because one cannot simply go to the synagogue and pray and then go about one's affairs with a purified mind and soul.
The whole crux of Jewish life lies in what takes place during the busy hours of one's affairs as well as in the hours of prayer.
One cannot reside in two worlds at once.
There cannot be any pretense of having done one's spiritual duty at some other time
or place.
In the Jewish way of life, the challenge is constant.
