There seems to be a serious obstacle to a genuine acceptance of the Sabbath.
The source of the difficulty may lie in the esoteric truth of the Sabbath, the fact that its light is a “returning” light, as the ancient wisdom calls it.
The Sabbath does not take part in creation.
During the week, one is active, doing things and working; on the Sabbath everything is simply put back in place, returned to their source.
The day of rest is the time for restoration to origin.
In this respect, the ability to carry out the Sabbath is another sort of functional capacity than what is required in the days of the week
One is in another world, another life style.
It is a totally different framework, wherein a person is able to remain passive within a very precise setting.
One is empowered with a capacity to receive and to be free from the need to be active and to be always doing.
Such an ease of being is a talent or competence, a quality in itself.
