There are two approaches to serving God: subjugation and transformation.
Subjugation occurs when the concealing screen is torn away and something of the light on the other side grows visible.
Transformation, on the other hand, takes place when the concealment, the darkness, itself turns into light; when the kelipah [shell] that hides divinity is itself discovered to be a divine light.
