As it is written in Shulhan Arukh, immediately after prayer one must set aside time to engage in the words of Torah, in order to connect the Torah to the prayer.
One should proceed with the same preparation for the Torah study:
“To You, Lord, I lift up my soul,” relinquishing his soul to God just as he did before praying.
