It is entirely possible that a person could have a high soul and an average intellect, whereas someone else could be wise and understand everything written on a subject but lack any sensitivity to and innate understanding of holiness.
This dynamic can be seen in other areas as well.
Some people are sensitive to certain matters or images, while others are not.
There are people who are great experts in a particular field like art or music, yet they lack any emotional sensitivity to the subject.
A person might be able to understand the subject matter and explain it to others, but he himself does not become moved, because he lacks the internal mechanism for feeling with regard to this subject.
