A person’s intent forges a bond between his soul and the action he performs.
In this sense, the value of the intent is not in its intellectual level but rather in the level of intensity of the relationship between a person’s self and the mitzva he fulfills.
Therefore, when a person deeply and truly devotes his being when performing a mitzva, he can reach the highestlevel of connection.
This is the case even if he does not know exactly what he is doing and even if his action is not inherently defined as a mitzva.
