In a world in which God is not revealed, a person is an isolated existence, and he feels like a child who finds himself alone in a vast and threatening world.
What does such a child do?
He calls his father to come and be with him.
A person does not want to and cannot remain alone in the world, and therefore, he calls to his Father.
How does he call Him?
He “reads the Torah,” that is, he calls out to God by means of his Torah study.
Through the Torah, he creates the togetherness with his Father in Heaven.
