The vision of the World to Come is not that materiality will be nullified, but rather that it will be purified.
Purification of materiality refers to the transformation of the physical into something transparent.
At present, the material reality constitutes the most intense opacity in the face of the divine illumination.
The vision of the future is not one wherein physical reality is negated but rather where materiality will be converted from a vessel that obstructs to one that enables the transmission of the divine light, and through which the divine essence, as it were, is manifest.
The power (“might”) of the Torah will imbue the Jewish people with the ability to absorb the divine illumination while concurrently containing it without losing their own existence.
