Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz: “A person can overcome every obstacle.”

Any person can say, “Although I, as lowly and disgraceful as I maybe, have committed such and such sins, God is always with me, and when God is with me, what can be bad?”

The power of this joy enables anyone to overcome his
feelings of dejection and rise above anything that prevents him from serving God by keeping His commandments.

A person can overcome every obstacle, whether it is the result of entanglements within his own soul and his own life choices, or whether it stems from external circumstances.
