Our sages say that when the Torah was given, God’s voice split into 600,000 different voices – one voice for each person present at Sinai.
They add that there were perhaps many more voices, each one individualized and personal, since the words were spoken not only for the people of that time but also for future generations.
Sometimes a certain interpretation touches upon a meaningful point that a person will internalize and remember for years, and sometimes the emotional and spiritual experience will only last for a moment.
