Let My People Know

Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz: ” ‘A religious’ person.”

A person who simply became “religious,” who always does the minimum, fulfilling the mitzvot and the halakhot, but does not feel compelled to go further – such a person cannot elevate himself.

He is, in fact, not a penitent.

He simply became a “religious” person, and on that level he will remain.
