DEAR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES:
Thank you so much for visiting my website.
At first glance, the range of topics included in my lecture offerings seems like an unlikely combination: Talmud, Kabbalah, Magic, and Genealogy.
But, in addition to each of these being passionate interests of mine, there is also a common denominator among them: all four areas are built on a foundation of the pursuit of answers to questions.
When tracing one's Jewish roots, we ask "Who am I? Where did I come from? How did I get here?"
When studying Talmud, we discover that the Talmud itself consists of a myriad of questions and encourages the very process of asking questions.
When I perform magic, the theme is always concerned with questions of how the mind works, how we perceive the world, and what does it mean to truly "see."
And when examining the ideas and teachings of Kabbalah, we are really exploring life’s deepest and most profound questions.
For over 30 years, I have been involved in Jewish education — my own, and as a teacher. Both the study of Jewish texts and climbing one's family tree have another profound similarity: at their core they teach tolerance. While tracing one's family history, we realize so vividly that we are all connected to one another, and when studying sacred texts we learn that we can disagree while still maintaining our respect and love for one another.
Thank you again for your interest in my work. I hope that some time soon our paths will cross.
